Practitioner in Cybersecurity Award
Loeb House, Harvard University, December 12, 2016
Dmitri Aperovitch is a most effective practitioner of the arts of computer security. Starting his career in the late 1990s he has become a thought leader on cybersecurity policy and technologies. While a vice president at McAfee and CTO at Crowdstrike he brought to light many very important cyber espionage intrusions, including some attributed to Russian and Chinese actors. His technical and communication skills have given him unusual visibility, resulting in recognition by MIT Technology Review as one of the Top 35 Innovators Under 35 and one of Foreign Policy’s Top 100 Leading Global Thinkers.
Thus, it is with great pleasure that the Boston Global Forum is pleased to confer on Dmitri Alperovitch the Boston Global Forum’s Practitioner in Cybersecurity Award.
